I have been having a love affair for the past several months and last night we took our relationship to the next step.
We went to bed together.
And instead of being extra careful and covering my tracks so no one would find out - I was unknowingly careless and left evidence of my transgressions all over the place.
You see, last night I went to bed with a Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Lara Bar, and it ended up errrywhere.
After inhaling* my lovely Lara Bar, I noticed that I could still smell its hauntingly delicious aroma. Thinking it was a bit odd to still be smelling my detectible treat, I did a quick survey of my immediate bed area in the hopes of finding a stray crumb. Knowing my chest isn't big enough to hide any-thing, my search was quick and I came up empty handed. Oh, well.
*This is not a joke. Most times I finish eating the bar, wonder how I could have possibly eaten it so fast, and immediately feel sad.
I also have to actively restrain myself from eating seven a day.
I rolled over, went to sleep, and slept until my alarm ding-donged at 5:30.
I woke up, waltzed into the bathroom where the evidence of my love affair was staring right back at me. I had precious Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Lara Bar smeared on my cheek and chin, on my arm, and in my hair.
What. The. Hell.
I quickly washed myself off so Ryan wouldn't see (I seriously look bad enough in the morning that smeared chocolate wasn't doing me any favors) and once he was up I went and checked the bed/bedsheets. There was the tiniest trace of chocolate on my side of the bed, but it was considerably insignificant compared to the evidence displayed on my bod.
Seriously? How did this happen?
Anyway, the point of this? Go out and get yourself some Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Lara Bars. They are seriously delicious (especially after a few hours in the fridge).
Just be careful if you ever go to bed with one. You might wake up in the morning and unknowingly walk the walk of shame to the bathroom mirror.
